Our Story

Trialingo was developed by Dr. Alexandra Lewis and Dr. June Hou, two female physicians of color,
both first generation immigrants to the US,  each bringing a unique perspective in addressing the barriers non-English speaking cancer patients face in navigating the US healthcare system.

Frustrated by the stark disparities in cancer research for their patients of color, they embarked on a journey to create Trialingo to address the problem of clinical trial recruitment. The combination of their medical expertise in clinical care and cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Columbia University Medical Center, and their business insight as Columbia Business School (CBS) graduates, fuels their passion to confront health inequity in cancer research.
